Yala National Park

Leave the hotel early in the morning with a packed breakfast for the day excursion.

On Sri Lanka’s southeast coast sits Yala National Park, a well-known wildlife preserve. Although scrubland, freshwater lakes, beaches, rivers, and forest are present, the reserve’s parkland makes up the majority of its surface area.

Yala has the greatest density of leopards in the world, yet it still requires some luck to sight one of the primarily nocturnal predators. It is also home to elephants, crocodiles, wild boars, water buffalo, and grey langurs.

The wide parkland is home to unusual black-necked storks, white-bellied sea eagles, painted storks, and other predatory birds.

On the conclusion of the visit, go back to the hotel in the evening.
